Οι θρυλικοί Αθηναίοι progressive rockers των μέσων του 1970 Nemesis, επανέρχονται στην δισκογραφία 40 χρόνια μετά την τελευταία τους ηχογράφηση. Το συγκρότημα μετά από μια παύση 3 ετών (1978-1980) του πρώτου hard rock/progressive σχήματος, επανέρχεται με τον ιδρυτικό του πυρήνα (Βασίλης Καπανίκης-κιθάρες, φωνητικά, πλήκτρα, ντραμς & Χρήστος Βογιατζής-ηλεκτρικό και άταστο μπάσο, φωνές, φωνητικά) και με την προσθήκη έμπειρων μουσικών (Αλέξανδρος Τριπιδάκης -πλήκτρα, Θανάσης Κιπενής/Τάκης Κωνσταντίνου/Στέφανος Λαρεντζάκης-ντραμς, Ισαάκ Γρηγοριάδης- ηλεκτρικό μπάσο) αφουγκράζεται την νέα μουσική και καταθέτει στο διάστημα 1980-1982 και 1984-1986 την πρότασή του, πάνω σε post punk/ new wave και progressive ηχοχρώματα. Σημαντικό ρόλο στην γέννηση του νέου ήχου που ακολουθούν διαδραμάτισε η παραμονή του συγκροτήματος στη τότε Δυτική Γερμανία (Δυτικό Βερολίνο, Κολωνία), η οποία τους έφερε σε άμεση επαφή με τα τότε μουσικά ρεύματα, κάνοντας τόσο εμφανίσεις όσο και ηχογραφήσεις πάνω στο νέο τους ηχόχρωμα. Το 1986 το συγκρότημα διαλύεται και επιστρέφοντας στα πάτρια εδάφη τα μέλη του θα συμμετάσχουν ως μέλη σε συγκροτήματα της ελληνικής σκηνής (Purple Overdose, Καλειδοσκόπιο,World Of Cain, Πάμε, Γιατροί,Vogiatzers, κ.α.) είτε ως session μουσικοί μαζί με γνωστούς καλλιτέχνες της ελληνικής σκηνής. Η B-otherSide records με χαρά παρουσιάζει το σύνολο των ακυκλοφόρητων –μέχρι σήμερα- ηχογραφήσεων της 2ης περιόδου των Nemesis (9 Tracks στο βινύλιο + 5 tracks σε ένθετο cd) σε 185 αριθμημένες κόπιες σε 3D υφασμάτινα εξώφυλλα, τα οποία περιέχουν το έξτρα cd με το σύνολο των ηχογραφήσεων της μπάντας και ένα δισέλιδο έγχρωμο ένθετο με φωτογραφίες, βιογραφικό και credits της κυκλοφορίας.

The legendary Athenian progressive rockers of the mid-1970s, Nemesis, are returning to the discography 40 years after their last recording. The band, after a 3-year hiatus (1978-1980) of the first hard rock/progressive band, returns with its founding core (Vassilis Kapanikis-guitars, vocals, keyboards, drums & Christos Vogiatzis-electric and unison bass, vocals) and with the addition of experienced musicians (Alexandros Tripidakis-keyboards, Thanasis Kipenis/Takis Konstantinou/Stefanos Larentzakis-drums, Isaac Grigoriadis-electric bass) listens to new music and presents its proposal in the period 1980-1982 and 1984-1986, based on post punk/new wave and progressive sounds. The band’s stay in what was then West Germany (West Berlin, Cologne) played an important role in the birth of the new sound they followed, which brought them into direct contact with the musical trends of the time, making both appearances and recordings on their new sound. In 1986 the band disbanded and upon returning to their homeland, its members participated as members in bands of the Greek scene (Purple Overdose, Kaleidoscope, World Of Cain, Pame, Doctors, Vogiatzers, etc.) or as session musicians with well-known artists of the Greek scene. B-otherSide records is pleased to present the complete set of unreleased recordings from the 2nd period of Nemesis (9 tracks on vinyl + 5 tracks on insert cd) in 185 numbered copies in 3D fabric covers, which contain the extra cd with all the band’s recordings and a two-page color insert with photos, biography and release credits.
